  Good German food in a quaint little restaurant. Food was served pretty fast and tasted good. Unfortunately there is no German, or any other kind, of beer served here. That would have gotten them a fifth star.

  My father made a lot of German dishes ( he wasn't German, he just enjoyed the food). Sadly he neglected schnitzel! If the schnitzel at the German Cafe is standard, I couldn't survive "amazing" schnitzel. The Swedish schnitzel was amazing. The pork loin is tender as advertised covered with super thin ham and topped with fried eggs. I wasn't sure what I was tasting when I got to the potatoes! I've never tasted such tangy and savory spuds! The cole slaw was the only thing that didn't shock me. It's very good but at least I've had very good slaw before. Every bite of this meal was a celebration. I can't remember the last time recently that I left a restaurant so pleased with a meal. Look at your calendar and plan going on a Tuesday because Tuesday night is schnitzel night at the German Cafe. All schnitzel is around $11.00 on Tuesdays.Oh, good service and nice ambiance? They've got that too!! Every night!

  Cozy. Delicious. Competent, friendly staff that speaks Deutsche. Traditional dishes with a few side options. This place made my day and set the bar for dining in the area.
